How to send a digital case?

3Shape TRIOS
(TRIOS / 3Shape Unite / TRIOS Share)

Open your 3Shape account / TRIOS patient case on the scanning station.

Go to Communicate / Partners / TRIOS Share (or 3Shape Unite) in the software.

Click “Search for Partners” (or “Invite Partner”) and type Choice Dental Lab TX or our corresponding email ChoiceLabDental@gmail.com or info@choicelabdental.com

Request partnership — the lab receives the request and must accept.

Once accepted, open the patient case ► Send/Share case ► choose the lab as recipient. Attach the lab Rx (PDF) and choose file options (STL/PLY/OBJ if you prefer open files).

Confirm successful upload and notify the lab (email/text) with case details.
Tip: If you need the lab to use a specific 3Shape scan body library, note that in the message.
Align / iTero

On the iTero station, sign into your iTero cloud account.

Connect with us by using our:

Company ID: CHOICE DENTAL LAB TX #114729

Send the case — iTero will transfer via cloud to the lab’s inbox. Optionally export STL from the iTero export menu and upload to the lab portal if the lab asks for open files.

Confirm with lab that they received the case and that the correct scan-body library (if implant) was used. iTero

Request that Choice Dental Lab TX (#114729) is added to your scanner. Identify our lab using our phone number 832-467-2929

After Choice Dental Lab TX has been added, restart your scanner

After connecting to us as a Lab, select Choice Dental Lab TX on your scanner when sending file
Dentsply Sirona (Primescan / Omnicam → DS Core

On the chairside PC run Connect Software / Chairside (the Primescan/CEREC environment).

Create or open the patient case and finish your scan.

In DS Core, choose Send/Export. Add Choice Dental Lab TX lab as a favorite/partner by searching name or company ID, or add the lab to “My Favorite Laboratories” in your account.

Select the file type to send — some labs prefer Dentsply’s proprietary file (.dxd/.3) while others accept STL. If required, export the case as .dxd/.stl, compress, attach lab slip and upload to the lab email or portal.

Notify the lab after sending and include any special instructions (margin, opposing/bite, scan-body library).
Medit (Medit Link / Medit Link Cloud)

Open Medit Link and select the completed case in your Workbox / Case Box.

Go to “Partners on the left pane”

Search for “Choice Dental Lab” and click the “Request Partnership” button

To share directly: use the Share button, choose the lab from your partner list (or invite them by email), pick the files (STL/OBJ/PLY/meditmesh), and hit Share.

To export manual files: use Export (STL/OBJ/PLY) → save to local → upload to your lab portal or email the zipped folder with a lab Rx.

If you share via link, set permissions and expiry appropriately and confirm the lab can open the chosen file format. Medit Help Center+1
SHINING 3D — AORALSCAN
OPTION A: Connect to Our Lab (Recommended)
Step-by-step:

Open Dental Cloud on the scanning computer.

Log in with your Shining Dental Cloud account.

Go to Partners or Laboratory Management.
-
Click Add Partner / Invite Lab.
-
Enter our lab’s Dental Cloud email - info@choicelabdental.com

Send the invitation — we will accept it on our end.
Once accepted, our lab will appear in your Lab list.
Sending a case to our lab

Open the completed patient scan in Dental Cloud.

Click Send Case.
-
Select our lab from your partner list.
-
Attach or complete the digital lab slip (restoration type, shade, tooth number, notes).

Choose file format (STL is standard; PLY if color is needed).

Click Send.
📌 Implant cases:
• Select the correct implant system & scan body in the scan software
• Note implant brand, diameter, and platform in the lab slip
OPTION B: Export files manually (if not connected)

Open the case in Dental Cloud.

Click Export → choose STL or PLY.
-
Zip the files (upper, lower, bite).
-
Upload to our lab portal or email with the lab Rx.
DEXIS IS — (IS 3600 / IS 3800)
OPTION A: Connect to Our Lab (Recommended)
Step-by-step:

Open DEXIS IS Connect on the scanning workstation.

Log in with your DEXIS account.

Navigate to Partners / Labs.
-
Click Add Lab / Invite Partner.

Enter our lab’s IS Connect email:

Send the invitation — we will accept it.
Once accepted, our lab will be available for direct case sending.
Sending a case to our lab

Open the completed patient case in DEXIS IS Connect.

Click Send / Share Case.
-
Select our lab as the recipient.

Confirm files included:

Upper scan

Lower scan
-
Bite scan
-

Attach or fill out the lab prescription.
-
Click Send.
📌 Implant cases:
• Verify the correct scan body library is selected
• Include implant brand, diameter, and site in the Rx
OPTION B: Export files manually

Open the case in DEXIS IS Connect.

Choose Export Case.
-
Select STL (preferred) or PLY if color is required.
-
Zip files and upload to our lab portal or email with Rx.
